New: PALINET’s Mass Digitization Collaborative
PALINET has launched a new Mass Digitization Collaborative, now available to all PALINET members. The Collaborative offers PALINET members the capability to contribute important historical and archival materials for digitization as part of a regional digital collection. Atlanta, GA and Philadelphia, PA – December 3, 2008 – The Boards of Trustees of two leading library cooperatives, PALINET and SOLINET voted to approve the structure and legal documents required for the proposed merger of the two organizations. The member vote is the next and final step in this process. Voting will begin on January 8 and continue through January 28. A combined website, www.mergerupdate.org is available for review.
